In math today we played a counting game. We used the carpets as "stepping stones" to cross the "river" and we had to count by the number Ms. Russell called out. For example, 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, and 10s. - SelinaIn science we talked about vocabulary words for sound. For example: vibration, wave, volume, emit, reflection, etc. - Elijah
Today was "Orange Shirt Day" we started with announcements that told us what it was about. We wear orange in support of "Every Child Matters." Ms. Russell read us a story called "Shi Shi Etko" that was about a little girl that was going to a residential school. - Elle
We also did a "sharing circle" today. Sharing circles are one of the traditional ways that First Nations people share and communicate. In the sharing circle we passed a "talking stone" to share where we are from and something about our family. - Holly
Today we also did our spelling test. - Annika
